Meennunyakaa / Blueberry Patch is the story of a trip to a blueberry patch in the Duck Bay area near Camperville, Manitoba in the late 1940s. An Elder shares his experiences, describing the trip, the team pulling the wagon, the bush and territory, the trail of wagons and setting up tents and the fun of it all. The images are vivid and colourful complementing and immersing the reader in the story so sharing the experience. Activities and a recipe are included for this blueberry picking trip. Jennifer Leason (Keesis Sagay Evette Ekwe: First Shining Rays of Sunlight Woman) and Norman Chartrand are both Salteaux-Metis Anishinaabek and members of Pine Creek Indian Band, Manitoba. Norman Chartrand's ancestors are from the Riding Mountain territory in Manitoba. This book is in English and Anishinaabemowin.
